The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes. - Charles Swindoll Good morning! We are approaching the 5 year anniversary of my Good Morning newsletter. I wanted to take a brief pause this week to send a few of my favorite Good Mornings for all of our recent subscribers. Thanks so much to everyone for a great year. Something great is going to happen again this year and I can't wait to see what it is! From October 25, 2005: Did you take the time yesterday to set some goals for the week? Have you taken one step toward them? Today, let's focus on attitude and our reactions. Charles quote really sums this up nicely. Your Turn: Reread the quote for today. Think of the past 30 days of your life. How did you react to trying circumstances or stressful circumstances? How was your attitude? Can you see how changing your attitude would have made the situation different? Keep that in mind as you move forward this week. Your affirmation: I choose healthy, supportive and nourishing reactions.
