In Brook Noel’s class, she will take you step-by-step through the process of defining a project and effectively breaking it down into action steps. You will learn how to handle delegation and tracking the completion process of the project as well as how to assign realistic dates against your deadline and manage the project to completion with confidence and ease.

Brook defines a project as anything containing more than five action steps or “to dos”. Examples would include:

Planning a Birthday party, special dinner, fundraiser or other event
Remodeling a room
Thoroughly cleaning a home
Working through an estate or taxes
Many work related tasks (presentations, proposals, a job search, etc.)
Orchestrating a move

Projects require multiple action steps to complete and often stretch out over a period of time or require the involvement of others. Learning how to break down a project into realistic action steps is the first key to accomplishing that project; learning how to give your plan a “reality check” is the second key and the third key is implementation and revision.

In this class you will choose a project you are currently working on and then work through a series of assignments to break that project down and learn the project management tools to get it done. You will also have access to Brook’s project management worksheets that offer an effective color-coded system to take your projects from to-do to done!

This class is perfect for:

  1. Anyone who has a lot of project management as part of their personal or professional life.
  2. Anyone struggling with all the paper involved in a project
  3. Anyone who finds they tend to “stall” on projects and need proven techniques to keep them moving forward

Class F.A.Q.

How Do These Classes Work?

This class is being offered via our new Facebook group format.  After you have enrolled in this class, you will receive an email invitation to join the secret group on Facebook.  If your Facebook email is not the same as the one you are using to register for this class, please note the other email address in the Comment section when you register.

If you are enrolling in this course on the start date or during the first week, please allow one business day to receive your invitation to join the group.

How much time does this class require? There is no mandatory deadline or sharing with the assignments (although sharing is encouraged and half the fun!) therefore you are free to work at your own pace although you will need to download all lessons during the class period. We do leave classes open for 1 month beyond the scheduled end date, to allow you to retrieve any outstanding information and download lessons–although class helpers are not available for Q&A during this time. Class helpers are only available during the actual 2 weeks of the course.  Since we run so many classes, we are unable to send lessons manually or to make them available once the class has closed. By completing an action plan and downloading the lessons you can continue to work on your new system at any pace comfortable to you.

Questions? Please email debbiec@maketodaymatter.net. We strive to respond within one business day.
