Congratulations!

Congratulations!
Today is your day!
You’re off to great places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head,
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
And direction you choose.”
Dr Seuss

Good morning! While many of us associate Dr. Seuss with childhood stories and rhymes, there is one book that we should all read as adults. The book is titled, “Oh, The Places You’ll Go.” The story speaks directly to that child within us – that child that still wishes on stars and looks for four leaf clovers in grass fields, that child who has boundless energy and limitless dreams. How that child is often lost as we grow older, listening to society’s rules versus our own hearts.

Your Turn:Take a stop at your local library or your favorite bookstore and read “Oh, The Places You’ll Go.” Embrace the message. You can also view the book online at: http://www.photohype.com/DrSeuss.htm

Today’s Affirmation:
Today and every day, I choose a positive direction for my today and for my tomorrow.

  1. Theodore Geisel was a wonderful man. The lessons he taught of elitism (Stars on Thars) and the Environment (Thneeds, and the less heard of Mc Elligot’s Pool) to name a few…and respect for that which we do not see, and for those more Vulnerable to us, etc. I suppose he took a challenge in doing what he did, creating a genre, especially with his messages regarding the environment and the establishment, particularly after having subsisted off of creating advertisements for insecticides (Flit, I believe it was called)
I hope more step out and follow his lead, teaching creatively and with such insight.
