Good morning! Grant’s quote makes the formula for a happy life seem so simple, doesn’t it? Confucious said “Life is simple, it is we who insist on making it complicated.” Each day, why not try the simple advice in this quote: Occupy yourself the best you can. For at the end of any day, if we have done our best in all the things we have touched, we can ask for nothing more.

I love that thought, it is we who make life complicated, because it is so true. Trying to cram just one more thing into my day, hesitating to say no to something I know I don’t have time for, I put myself last instead of first. My mother always said, “Take care of #1” because she knew that if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be able to take care of those who depend on me. It’s still hard, and saying no is so difficult, but I’m working on it.
